    WHO MAY APPLY FOR RIVER SHIP JOBS IN EUROPE?

    • EU nationalities are always welcome to join and work on board river ships in Europe. Nationalities that we can process: LITHUIANIA, LATVIA, ESTONIA, POLAND.
    • There are also openings for many other NON-EU nationalities, but usually only for CULINARY candidates or German speakers. Nationalities that we can process: ARMENIA, AZERBAIJAN, BELARUS, GEORGIA, KAZAKHSTAN, KYRGYZSTAN, MOLDOVA, RUSSIA, TURKMENISTAN, TAJIKISTAN, UKRAINE, UZBEKISTAN.

    WHAT COUNTRIES YOU MAY VISIT WHILE WORKING ON RIVER SHIPS?

    • Germany

    WHAT POSITIONS ARE OPEN TO APPLY?

    • Cooks (Chef de Partie, Commis de Cuisine)
    • Waiters/-ess
    • Stateroom Stewards/-ess
    • Utility Helper
    • Reception (already filled for 2023 season)

    WHAT ARE THE EXCLUSIVE CONDITIONS OFFERED?

    • Seasonal contract duration: April - November 2022 (meaning you work since April until November 2022, then you may choose to prolong the contract to the next season however this period November 2022- April 2023 is unpaid)
    • Decent salaries in EURO with the same hour rate as for European Union crew. Shared and pocket tips are also available, depending on the cruise company.
    • After each 6 weeks worked on board all crew gets 2 weeks off paid vacation. This is mandatory by law and usually can not be worked and then compensated or accumulated for longer vacation, depending on the cruise company.
    • Each time crew has 2 weeks vacation, 200EUR provided for travel expenses, so crew may go home or stay in Europe and/or travel around during vacation, depending on the cruise company.
    • Companies pay in full joining and end of contract ticket expenses
    • Medical exam that is needed is very simple and can be done with any family doctor ⠀
    • No safety certificates or Seaman’s documents needed
    • Health Insurance provided for whole contract duration
    • Social benefits (sick pay, kids pay, pension, disability etc.) will be available for those who worked several consecutive contracts
    • Contract will be re-newed each season and salary increase may be offered to crew with good performance, depending on the cruise company.


    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Min 20 years old, no visible tattoos
    • At least some relevant working experience required at the desired role
    • German language knowledge (for Cooks English is also acceptable)
    • Need to be fully vaccinated with WHO approved Covid-19 vaccine
    • NON-EU citizens need to obtain work visa D type for a job on European river ship
