As an Assistant Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for serving beverages from the menu (i.e. coffee, hot tea, iced tea, milk, potable water), bread and butter and salad dressings, at their assigned tables. Responsible for the buffet service (i.e. cleaning tables, serving beverages or items on the buffet line).

โ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Restaurant Waiters in all duties of the dining room service operation.
Serve beverages from the menu and sell mineral (sparkling and still) water at assigned station in the dining room.
Refill bread and butter and serve salad dressing at assigned table when needed.
Clear dirty dishes when guests have finished each course. After food service, send silverware, plates, cups and utensils for washing, and polish the glasses.
Responsible for the cleanliness of their serving station / tables.
Ensure that assigned uniforms are cleaned and pressed.
Responsible for the equipment issued by the Assistant Maitre D (coffee pots, water jugs, salad serving tongs, locking chain, serving tray).
Responsible for dining room equipment, items issued to waiters, and miscellaneous items, as per dining room managerโs instructions.
Maintains a good working relationship and open communication with all the team.
Follow service procedures set by the restaurant manager.
Follow safety, environmental and USPH procedures.
Attend all department meetings.
Responsible for their areaโs safety, cleanliness and operation.
Mandatory attendance at all assigned shipboard drills and emergency activities.
Create and implement ideas that will generate/increase revenue and/or reduce costs for the company.

โ REQUIEREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years old
Relevant ship experience is preferred
Good level of English language
Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.
Minimum of three yearsโ experience in a food preparation/service position in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
Ability to analyze and interpret documents such as recipes and manuals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, tips, proportions and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
