MANAGERfor VIKING OCEAN CRUISES!
Purpose of position:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Associate General Manager is overall responsible for the
entire ship financial operation, including revenue and cost management, as well as guests and crew
administration. Responsible to implement and enforce all necessary actions to ensure the Viking Ocean
Product is de-livered smoothly and flawlessly, in line with budget and targets.
Viking is a strong and dynamic company with a growing fleet of more than 80 river ships and eight ocean vessels cruising over 100 itineraries around the world. In 2022, Viking guests could enjoy the comfort and elegance of our award-winning fleet with 8 new river ships, two expedition ships built specifically to explore the world's most remote destinations, and a unique Mississippi River ship in the U.S. In 2023 Viking celebrates the inaugural season of our Ocean vessel the Viking Neptune and our 9th Ocean vessel the Viking Saturn.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing the ship financial operation, reporting and statistics and internal auditing as required, including accounting, payroll and cruise closing
Ensure that all Hotel Department operations are conducted economically, in alignment with financial targets.
Overseeing and accountability for shipโs funds and cash availability.
Receive weekly inventory reports from all sources in the Hotel Department, ensuring that supplies are sufficient but not excessive.
Responsible for the accurate submission of Cruise End financial reports.
Plan all Shop/Concessionaireโs events with Department Heads.
Overseeing sale of shore excursions and tour dispatches.
To be familiar with the legal aspects of Crew employment, Health and Safety at work, the companyโs SMS and Environmental Policies and all other company directives governing the administration of Crew and Port Operations.
Active involvement and ownership in all F&B outlets including quality and service assurance by identifying flows and establishing a healthy and effective training routine.
Provide visible leadership by example while interacting with guests and crew
Proven skills to be confident when dealing with Guest feedback
Support all teams during peak hours, be available to guests and crew for feedback and general inquiries.

YOUR PROFILE
Minimum 21 years old
Min. 5 years Food & Beverage Manager or Assistant General manager or higher in a luxury/ premium property, with a minimum of 3 years of ships and managing experience in this position or higher
Diploma from international recognized hotel school or university.
Financial background and Exposure to Budgeting and financial analysis.
Proven public health knowledge.
Completed appropriate HR training, craft training or equivalent.
Excellent English skills in both writing and speech, other languages a plus
Service and detail oriented with a strong guest focus
Excellent management, organizational and communication skills
