As a Laundry Attendant, you help keep all guest and crew linen, towels, and uniforms clean and ready. Your work makes cabins, restaurants, and crew areas look neat and professional. By carefully handling laundry, helping your team, and keeping machines and storage organized, you make a big difference in the comfort of guests and crew.

No Safety certificates or Seaman's book required

Duties and responsibilities:
Regulate machine processes when starting washers, driers and dry cleaners.
Sort, fold or wrap the items according to requirements or personal attention to detail.
Keep records of used chemicals.
Responsible for washing and ironing of table linen, napkins, towels, cleaning towels, guest laundry and uniforms from Galley, Restaurant, Bar departments and Officers.
Responsible for washing and ironing the private cloths from Captain and Hotel Manager.
Responsible for the general cleanliness of the Laundry and linen store room in compliance to Scylla standards.
Responsible for dealing carefully with all equipment, machines and cleaning agents in the Laundry (paying extra attention to the cleaning of the filters of the dryers in both laundry areas).
Assist the HK Team to collect used towels, bed linen
Responsible to carry out and return of guest laundry.
Assist with "Turn-down" service on a daily base if necessary.
Reporting technical defects in the Laundry to the Reception.
Adherence to cleanliness and hygienic regulations in compliance with company hygienic concept and HACCP regulations.
Compliance with the waste concept.

Requirements:
Experienced within the hotel industry and/ or previous river cruise ship experience.
Outstanding skills and experience in this role with an extensive hands-on experience.
Flexibility, stress resistant, calm under the pressure, resilient and team player with positive approach.
Professional attitude and appearance, reliable and hard-working with great team spirit.
Open minded and flexible with high social, interpersonal and cultural competencies.
Good English skills (written & verbal), other languages as German is an advantage.
