Today, the company operates more than 40 modern river ships, sailing along the Rhine, Danube, Seine, Rhône, Saône, and many other beautiful rivers across Europe.
As Nightwatch, you ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of the ship overnight. You monitor public areas, support guests during nighttime hours, and assist with operational and housekeeping tasks. Your vigilance and professionalism help create a calm and welcoming environment for guests and crew.
Conditions:
Free food and accommodation on board
Seasonal work with contracts from March to November renewable each season
River ships are located in Europe - closer to home
No Safety certificates or Seaman's book required
Possibility to take paid days off and vacation during the season

Free internet (10 GB per month)
Shore leave almost every day
There are always more openings for German speakers
Some vessels offer free German language courses on board
Duties and responsibilities:
Professional management of Reception during the night.
Co-operation with the Front Desk of any issues occurred during the night.
Assist the Reception with special jobs if necessary.
Hourly security patrols through the ship with several check points.
Supervision of the vessel against unauthorized access.
Responsible for an secured/ locked entrance if the ship is docked.
Responsible for the safety of the ship against burglary and theft.
Responsible for the correct lighting on the ship during the night.
Answering telephone calls and respond to guests request and complaints.
Take and carry out personal wake up calls by telephone.
Deliver and distribute the daily (internet) newspapers to the guests and departments per charter needs.
Responsible for the set-up of the early riser breakfast.
Support of internet for the guests.
Storing empty bottles in their specific crates intended in the designated area in
a well-organized manner.

Requirements:
Experienced within the hotel industry and/ or previous river cruise ship experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the friendly and positive approach.
Guest focused, stress resistant, calm under the pressure, resilient and team player with positive approach
Professional attitude and appearance, reliable and hard-working with great team spirit
Open minded and flexible with high social, interpersonal and cultural competencies
Being representative of Scylla´s values.
Age: min. 18 years old
Non-EU nationals will need D type German visa before joining
