The Learning & Development Manager is responsible to facilitate service training for all ICS / SSSL departments onboard the vessel within the Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas brands, coordinate new hire familiarization, perform administrative tasks related to learning and development and display a role model and professional behavior as ICS / SSSL ambassador. While the Learning & Development Manager focuses on the ICS / SSSL departments, he / she works in cooperation with the on board HR Manager for the benefit of the operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate passion and knowledge in all international service standards for food & beverage and housekeeping
Prepare and facilitate professional service training for all ICS / SSSL departments
Conduct customer service training job
Facilitate basic supervisor and management training
Coordinate and support new hire familiarization
Welcome back all returning crew, with information regarding departmental changes while crew were on vacation related to ICS / SSSL procedures.
Support Cross Training program
Administrate Learning Management System (LMS) for ICS / SSSL departments
Prepare training schedule for all ICS / SSSL departments for service and on the job trainings
Schedule mandatory departmental training as per Safety Management System (SMS)
Prepare attendance list for each training and track training attendance in LMS
Filter and communicate monthly report of training topics and attendance for all ICS / SSSL departments
Support Head of Departments with training needs analysis for their staff
Create individual training plans for new hires and crew members requiring development
Create and prepare hand-outs for training courses
Assist management to formulate Key Result Areas (KRA)
Assist managers with their Linkedin Learning membership and filter user reports on monthly basis (TBC)
Assist Corporate HR Manager in creating new training programs and material (classroom and computer based training)
Contribute in updating the Training & Development Manual in Apollo Solutions
REQUIREMENTS: β
3 years of experience as professional Trainer in the fields of luxury hotels and cruise line
Previous ship experience on the same position is mandatory
Great knowledge about F&B, Housekeeping and general service procedures
Familiar with basic shipboard operation
Fluent in written and spoken English
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management
Confident talking in front of an audience that include HODs and senior manager
Good administrative skills, organized with great time management
Experienced in coaching middle managers
Adherence to specific scheduled working hours, yet being flexible to operational requirements
Ability to interact professional in an international team
