The MAITRE D` is responsible for the day-to-day operation of, and any special events held in, the Specialty Restaurant. Assists the Restaurant Manager in the supervision of the Restaurant personnel ensuring total guest satisfaction regarding food quality and service in accordance with company policies.

RESPONSABILITIES
Directs, coaches, supports, supervises and evaluates (in conjunction with the Food & Beverage Manager) the performance of all direct reports.
Ensures that all Specialty Restaurant staff is trained and performs their duties according to the United States Public Health rules and regulations.
Responsible for the general maintenance of the Specialty Restaurant, reporting any repair or replacement needs to the Food & Beverage Manager.
Communicates daily with the Food & Beverage Manager, Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef regarding service in the Specialty Restaurant.
Communicates daily with the Bar Manager regarding wine and beverage service in the restaurant.
Creates a team spirit while showing motivation and leadership qualities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of five to eight years hospitality management experience in an upscale hotel, resort.
Ship board experience is mandatory required.
Very strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
Very strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
Superior customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing personalized services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.
Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.
Intermediate computer software skills required.
Possess a good understanding of basic accounting principles such as numbering flow, “Debits/Credits”, adjusting entries and corrections.
Good level of English language.
Minimum 21 years old.
